Any Major studio using Video to shot Movies?

To answer this thread's originally posed question, inside sources suggest Warner's new Superman movie is being shot 90% HD (Panavision Genesis no less), 10% film (for high speed as the Genesis is only 30fps and, ironically, effects work).

While I'm all for the technology, the director and his choice of DP for the project (Brian Singer and NT Sigel) are just plain wrong and the film is being made for all the wrong reasons- it also breaks the British patriotic paradoxical wonder of the original Superman movies, which were magnificently photographed in 2.35:1 animorphic by the UK's finest: Geoffrey (2001, Caberet) Unsworth, Robert (American Werewolf, Michael Jackson's Thriller) Paynter and Alan (Return of the Jedi, For Your Eyes Only) Hume. Okay, so the new film will obviously look better than the Cannon Group's Superman IV pathetically shot in flat light by Ernest Day, but even he was a Brit! [img]wink.gif[/img]

Honestly I don't know. When you get out of film school you're at the mercy of someone in power giving you a shot. I'm working really hard on my writing and although the demise of film four is lamentable I'm still hopeful.

An investor is willing to give me 40k for a feature in principle. I will not take that money untill i'm sure I won't let the guy down.

* Actually its called a "Space Cube." It doesn't rotate. Think it might be a prototype or something. Looks like its from 1988.
